Hulu is developing an original crime drama series from Eliza Clark with Media Res producing, Variety has learned.

Titled “Durango,” the official description of the series states:

“‘Durango’ is the story of two Gen Z nobodies, Bunny and Mikey, one a down-and-out waitress, the other a washed up ski-bum, whose lives are placed in peril after they impulsively grab a pile of money from Mikey’s ex (fake) wife, and her current (real) Russian gangster lover. A Bonnie and Clyde for the TikTok generation, ‘Durango’ is a look at love, crime, domesticity, conspiracy and passion through the lens of two young rebels who decide they aren’t going to settle for the disappointing existence life has gifted them.”

Clark is writing the series, with Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer executive producing on behalf of Media Res.

Clark most recently developed and served as executive producer and showrunner on the FX series adaptation of the “Y: The Last Man” graphic novels. She also served as a writer and executive producer on the TNT drama “Animal Kingdom” and wrote for shows like “Extant,” “The Killing,” and “Rubicon.”

She is repped by WME and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

This is the latest project announced for Media Res in recent weeks. Most recently, it was announced that Apple TV+ had given the drama “The Dealer” starring Adam Driver and Jessica Chastain a straight-to-series order, with Media Res producing. It marks the company’s fourth series with Apple, following “The Morning Show,” “Pachinko,” and “Extrapolations.” Media Res is also behind upcoming shows like “The Miniature Wife” starring Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen at Peacock as well as the Silicon Valley drama “Thumblite” starring Rosamund Pike at Netflix.
