Jake Shane is set to appear in “Hacks” Season 4, Variety has learned exclusively.

Shane will play the role of Social Media Girlie in the hit comedy’s fourth season, which will premiere on Max on April 10 at 9 p.m. ET. Per the official logline of the fourth season, “Tensions rise as Deborah and Ava endeavor to get their late night show off the ground and make history doing it.”

Shane is a comedian and podcast host with over 4.9 million followers across social media platforms. His podcast, “Therapuss with Jake Shane,” launched in January 2024. In their 2024 Wrapped report, Spotify identified “Therapuss” as the seventh most anticipated podcast launch in the U.S. among listeners.

Most recently, Shane starred alongside Alix Earle and Rob Rausch in the Super Bowl commercial for prebiotic soda brand Poppi. He is currently hosting his biggest tour to date, “LIVE with Jake Shane,” which will span more than 35 cities across North America. He previously hosted the live tour “Therapuss Live,” which coincided with the release of his debut comedy album “Puss & Poems.”
