R.e.m. Launches Wicked Collection: Pop-culture Inspire Makeup Lines You Need to Try!

The highly anticipated film adaptation of Wicked is set to hit cinemas in November, staring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good, so it only makes sense that the latter’s beauty brand r.e.m. would drop a collection around the movie’s release.

Officially launched on October 1st, the collection includes Galinda and Elphaba Make-Up Sets, So Popular pH Adaptive Lip Oil, Tulip Field Lip Stains, and so much more.

But they wouldn’t be industry pioneers, with some of the most successful films and TV shows serving as inspiration for a number of your favourite cosmetic brand collaborations.

With that in mind, the beauty experts at Cosmetify, have rounded up the best makeup lines to take inspiration from pop culture.

Emily in Paris x Tint Cosmetics

A more recent collaboration comes from Tint Cosmetics after they announced their release of an Emily in Paris-inspired beauty line in response to the highly anticipated Season 4. Their Parisian collection features liquid lipsticks, lip tints, lip glosses, hydrating mists, liquid eyeliners, and reusable undereye patches.

Although Tint Cosmetics may be a newcomer in the beauty industry, they are rapidly growing as their ‘hassle-free’ approach to makeup has won over an army of happy customers.

Their Emily in Paris line not only provides an extensive portfolio of French-inspired shades, but the packaging is designed to showcase elements from the show, featuring charming details like tiny hearts, croissants, aeroplanes, and, of course, the Eiffel Tower.

Beetlejuice x NYX

The popular spoof movie Beetlejuice was welcomed back to our screens, with a sequel being released into cinemas at the start of September.

Pinterest trend analysis suggests that Beetlejuice is set to take over Halloween 2024, with searches for ‘Beetlejuice’ skyrocketing by 335% within the past month. As a result of this, NYX has brought back its fan-favourite Beetlejuice-inspired makeup line to celebrate the release 36 years after the original.

The collection captures the film’s quirky style through a range of blushes, eyeliners, lip glosses, under-eye patches, and makeup sponges, all inspired by the movie’s colours and characters, all packaged in unique, coffin-shaped and asymmetrical packaging.

Stranger Things x ColourPop

Stranger Things took the world by storm, becoming Netflix’s most-watched English-language series within its first 28 days, racking up over 1 billion hours of viewing. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that ColourPop has released a line inspired by the sci-fi series.

This collection is packed with hidden references to Stranger Things, so you’ll uncover new plot twists each time you experiment with each product. You can purchase an eyeshadow palette, an array of lip glosses, blush, glow drops, liquid eyeshadow and a lip mask.

Bridgerton x Pat Mcgrath

With Bridgerton being the catalyst behind the ‘Regencycore’ movement, it was only a matter of time before we saw a makeup line inspired by the show. And who else is to do it than Pat McGrath? Her second collaboration with Netflix, Mcgrath’s Bridgerton collection, features an eyeshadow palette, lipsticks, eyeliners, blushes and a body shimmer.

Not only are the products long-lasting, richly pigmented, and designed for professional-grade performance but they are also known for their sleek, luxurious packaging. The Bridgerton collection encapsulates a regal feel, making the experience of using the makeup, feel special and high-end and transforming fans into the world of Lady Whilsedown.
