Anjelica Huston revealed that she survived a “serious” cancer battle six years ago.

The “Addams Family” actress explained that she had a “bout with cancer” after the release of the 2019 film, “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.”

“That was a very serious moment for me,” she told People in a new interview published Wednesday. “I managed to survive it, and I’m proud of myself.”

Huston, 73, didn’t divulge the type of cancer or the what stage at the time of diagnosis, but she admitted that it was a “shock” at the time.

“It’s not something that came lightly,” she told the outlet. “It came as a big shock, but it made me conscious of what I shouldn’t do, of places I shouldn’t go. One of those places was taking life too seriously. So now when the opportunity arises, I laugh, and I try not to make a big deal out of things.”

The “Witches” actress explained that she hit the “four-year mark” of being cancer-free and that she’s “in the clear.”

“It’s a fantastic thing,” she gushed. “I’m very proud of myself, and I’ve been very lucky. My doctors have been wonderful.”

Huston recalled celebrating her first cancer-free scan four years ago and how she “just walked in [her] garden and smelled the roses and thought how clever [she] was.”

The Oscar winner decided to share her story to try and spread hope to people going through a similar situation.

“Sometimes you feel like you don’t want to talk about it for the obvious reasons, but there’s a lot to be said for talking about it and getting it out there and celebrating the fact that one’s come through,” she told the outlet.

“Life is tenuous and wonderful. It also gives you the idea that the world is big and you can somehow match up to it. That you’re ready for whatever happens,” she added.

After taking a five-year in-person acting hiatus, Huston returned to the screen for the first time since the diagnosis and will star as Lady Tressilian in BritBox’s limited series “Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero.”

Huston doesn’t foresee her past health scare slowing her down anytime soon and said she’s not ready for retirement anytime soon.

“I can’t imagine such a thing,” she confessed. “I think it would be too much, even for me.”

Huston, who is the daughter of director John Huston and granddaughter of actor Walter Huston, rose to fame in the 1980s after starring on the hit 1985 movie, “Prizzi’s Honor.” She’s gone on to star in a myriad of successful projects –– including “Crimes and Misdemeanors,” “The Witches” and “The Royal Tenenbaums,” among others.
