Beginning January 1, United Airlines will serve Laurent-Perrier champagne complimentary onboard United Polaris business class, making it the first and only U.S. airline to serve the award-winning bottles onboard and elevating an already premium experience.
Just in time to celebrate the new year, United Polaris® business class travellers can sip Champagne Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut NV at 30,000 feet.
United serves an average of 1.1 million glasses of champagne each year onboard United Polaris flights, and anticipates the new, more premium champagne will be well-received onboard. Champagne Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut NV is the flagship brut non-vintage from the House of Champagne Laurent-Perrier. Made from a select percentage of juice from the first pressing, La Cuvée offers more chardonnay and longer aging than most champagnes in its class.
The new champagne makes the already high-end United Polaris experience even more luxe for passengers who can already enjoy complimentary drinks like Whispering Angel rosé and multi-course meals, lie-flat seat, Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, Therabody amenity kits, an exclusive Polaris Lounge and more. It’s also the latest in United’s holistic wine programme overhaul – its largest to date – and ongoing investment in elevating its food and beverage offerings. Since late 2023, the airline onboarded restaurant-quality, premium brands like Shafer Vineyards, Gary Farrell, Chartron et Trebuchet and Pascal Jolivet.
The news is just the latest around United’s ever-evolving onboard menus. The airline recently announced it will serve Magnolia Bakery’s iconic Banana Pudding onboard United First and an overhaul to domestic economy wines that now feature woman-owned canned wines from Maker Wines and Just Enough Wines.
