Corey Stoll is the latest addition to the cast of the “Imperfect Women” limited series adaptation at Apple TV+, Variety has learned.
Stoll will appear alongside previously announced leads Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara as well as fellow cast member Joel Kinnaman. As previously reported, the show is based on the Araminta Hall novel of the same name.
The official description of the projects states that it is an “unconventional psychological thriller examining a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women. ‘Imperfect Women’ is a mystery complicated by perspective that explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably. As the investigation unravels, so does the truth about how even the closest relationships can change over time.”
Stoll will star in the role of Howard.
In television, Stoll is perhaps best known for his time on the hit Netflix series “House of Cards,” for which he received a Golden Globe nomination in 2014, as well as for the FX series “The Strain.” Recently, he starred as Mike Prince across multiple seasons of the popular Showtime series “Billions” and will appear in the Amazon Prime Video series “The Better Sister” debuting in May. In film, Stoll has appeared in multiple Marvel movies like “Ant-Man” as well as features like “Midnight in Paris,” “The Many Saints of Newark,” and Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story.” Stoll is also an accomplished stage actor, including his Tony Award-nominated performance in “Appropriate” opposite Sarah Paulson.

Annie Weisman will adapt “Imperfect Women” for the screen and serve as an executive producer via Love & Squalor Pictures. Lindsey McManus of Love & Squalor also executive produces, with the company having originally optioned the book. Washington will executive produce for Simpson Street alongside Pilar Savone, with Hall also executive producing along with Moss. Lesli Linka Glatter will direct the pilot and executive produce. Kay Oyegun will also write and executive produce under her overall deal with 20th Television. The series is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios.
