Get in, Loser — We’re Going to Mexico!

CheapCaribbean Vacations pulled out all the stops to host what they aptly dubbed “the fetchest party of the year” with the Broadway cast of Mean Girls at the stunning Grand Oasis Cancun resort. The event was a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and nostalgia, bringing together fans of the iconic 2004 film and its Tony-nominated musical adaptation. The cast, including Ashley De La Rosa (Regina George), Eric Huffman (Damian), Olivia Kaufmann (Gretchen Wieners and Janis), English Bernhardt (Cady Heron), and Zurin Villanueva (Karen Smith and Gretchen), kicked off the festivities with a “pink out” pool party at the resort’s beach club. The energy was electric as guests, dressed in their best pink attire, soaked up the sun and the excitement of the moment. Even a brief rain shower couldn’t dampen the fun, as the cast.mvc quickly got the party back on track.

A Poolside Dance Party and Nostalgic Performances

The pool party was just the beginning. After a five-minute performance that had everyone cheering, the cast introduced something truly special: a lesson in the iconic Jingle Bell Rock choreography from the 2004 Mean Girls movie. Clad in swimsuits and surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of Cancun, guests — including a representative from Page Six — eagerly learned the moves. The cast then joined in, dancing and splashing in the pool while sipping on pink drinks. It was a lighthearted, carefree moment that captured the essence of the Mean Girls spirit. Afterward, the cast retreated for rehearsals, prepping for their main event: a cabaret-style concert scheduled for the evening of October 3.

A Night of Music and Magic Under the Stars

The grand finale of the event was a spectacular hour-long concert held at the Oasis Arena, produced by CheapCaribbean and Broadway Plus, and directed by Christopher Metzger-Timson. The cast performed a selection of songs from the Mean Girls musical, including fan favorites like A Cautionary Tale, Meet the Plastics, and Apex Predator. The audience was completely entranced, singing along to the empowering and catchy tunes. The energy in the room was palpable, with the cast’s talent shining brightly under the spotlight. But the highlight of the night came when Eric Huffman invited audience members who had learned the Jingle Bell Rock dance at the pool party to join the cast onstage. Dressed in Santa hats and channeling their inner Regina, Cady, Karen, and Gretchen, the crowd and cast alike had an absolute blast.

A VIP Meet-and-Greet with Breathtaking Views

The night didn’t end there. After the concert, guests were treated to a VIP cocktail hour and meet-and-greet at the Miramar restaurant, a stunning spot overlooking the pristine white-sand beach and the sparkling Caribbean Sea. The cast mingled with guests, taking photos and sharing stories, while the crew, including musical director Jacob Yates, drummer Elena Bonomo, and guitarist David Kawamura, also joined in the celebration. It was a night of connection and camaraderie, with everyone basking in the joy of the event. Even though some cast members had early flights the next morning, they couldn’t resist keeping the party going. A few of them headed to the resort’s nightclub, Kinky, to dance the night away under the stars.

A Celebration of Music, Fun, and Fandom

The entire event was a celebration of the enduring appeal of Mean Girls, both as a film and as a Broadway musical. It brought together fans and cast members in a shared experience of music, laughter, and camaraderie. The cast’s enthusiasm and dedication were evident in every performance, and the guests left with unforgettable memories of their time in Mexico. CheapCaribbean Vacations truly outdid themselves, creating an experience that was as “fetch” as it gets.

A Night to Remember in Paradise

In the end, the Mean Girls party at Grand Oasis Cancun was more than just an event — it was an immersive experience that brought the magic of Broadway to the sunny beaches of Mexico. With its pink pool party, dazzling concert, and star-studded meet-and-greet, it was a night that no one in attendance will ever forget. As the cast and guests alike look back on the weekend, they’ll remember it as a time of joy, connection, and the unbreakable spirit of the Mean Girls legacy. After all, as Regina George would say, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink” — and in this case, we partied like queens.
