The Bachelor Season 29 is down to its final two episodes, and this week, Grant Ellis and his three remaining women — Juliana Pasquarosa, Zoe McGrady, and Litia Garr — headed to Grant’s “second home,” the Dominican Republic, for Fantasy Suite Week.
After Grant’s Top 3 contestants got some much-needed advice from Bachelor alum Daisy Kent, Rachel Nance and Kaity Biggar, they embarked on romantic one-on-one dates, had crucial conversations, and took their relationships to the next level during overnights.
As longtime members of Bachelor Nation know, Fantasy Suite Week is the time when contestants and leads start really getting in their heads. The reality of multiple connections weighs heavier than ever on Grant and his gals — especially after one woman takes sex off the table entirely and Grant says “I love you” to just one person.
Wondering how Fantasy Suite Week went for Grant, Juliana, Zoe, and Litia? Curious who went home after overnight dates? And which women are Grant’s Top 2? Decider’s Fantasy Suite Week recap has all the answers.
Here’s everything you missed during The Bachelor Season 29, Episode 7.
Juliana And Grant’s Fantasy Suite Date Recap: 12 Out Of 10 Experience
Before Juliana reunited with Grant, she met up with Daisy Kent (runner-up from Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor) for some encouraging words of wisdom. She opened up about the toll that infidelity in her last relationship took on her and admitted that Grant spending the night with two other women was triggering, as she feared not being chosen again. Daisy encouraged her to push past her fears and fully open up with Grant like she did with Joey. That way, when she reached the end of the journey she would know she gave it her all.
Grant and Juliana kicked off their date by riding a four wheeler and getting covered in mud, which clearly made Juliana insecure. The two talked a bit about the challenges they faced at this point in the journey, and after feeling like Juliana was still holding back, Grant did his best to assure her he’s falling hard for her. Later that night, Juliana dove in deep and gave Grant the insight that he needed. She tearfully recounted being cheated on repeatedly in her last relationship of seven years, explaining, “He lied to me time and time again…I gave way more chances than I should have, and I tried my best to believe him, because I thought that that’s what love was… It did a lot of damage to me and it’s hard to talk about and admit.”
Grant listened and comforted Juliana as she shared her story, then said, “Where somebody else messed up? I see treasure.” (SWOON!) “What I remember the most from today is that when you were so cautious about your hair — when you took of your helmet and your hair was messy — I looked at you, I was like, ‘This woman is so beautiful, and she doesn’t even know,’” Grant continued. “I would take that over the glitz and the glamor.” He gave her a photo from their Hometown Date, she accepted his invitation to the Fantasy Suite, and in the morning she said, ” 12 out of 10 experience. Would do it again.” Though Juliana dreaded being alone with her thoughts for the week, Grant told cameras, “I feel like I’m so wrapped up in my feelings for this woman. I feel like she could be my wife. I love the way that we look at each other. I love the way we talk to each other. I love the way that we kiss each other…The feelings, the emotion, it’s all there.”
Zoe And Grant’s Fantasy Suite Date Recap: Making Up For Lost Time
Grant did his best during Hometown Week to assure Zoe that she didn’t need a one-on-one date, but she was still in her head about it, so producers paired her with Rachel Nance, the contestant who had the least amount of time with Joey Graziadei ahead of Fantasy Suite Week. Rachel encouraged Zoe to use the overnight date to have deep conversations, get her own questions answered, and open herself up to the process.
Zoe left the chat feeling optimistic, but that hopefulness quickly faded when she learned that Grant chose a SILENT yoga date for them. (Imagine choosing a no-speaking date for the woman with whom you’ve had the least amount of time?!) Initially, Grant and Zoe felt nervous and awkward, but as their bodies started to get more in-sync with one another, the yoga session heated up. The two stole kisses, felt deeply connected, and walked away feeling like the experience was incredibly romantic. Zoe admitted she was self-conscious on the date, but later that night she let her walls down and asked Grant to share more about himself.
Grant opened up about his childhood, his father’s struggle with addiction, and his hopes for a future family just like he did on one-on-ones past. Zoe felt they shared a lot of similarities in their upbringings and accepted the Fantasy Suite invitation. After waking up, the two headed to the beach to debrief, and Grant told cameras, “I’m happy that I took the time to really understand her, because I’m very much in tune with her…She wants to build a better family than what she had, and that’s something that I want, and there’s no doubt in my mind that we could make that happen.”
Litia And Grant’s Fantasy Suite Date Recap: Emotional Intimacy FTW
During her Hometown Date, Litia told cameras she was anxious about Fantasy Suite Week because she had no plans of sleeping with Grant and feared he’d be intimate with other women. Before she met back up with Grant in the Dominican Republic, she had an eye-opening chat with Kaity Biggar, Zach Shallcross’ Bachelor winner and current fiancé. For those who need a refresher on Zach’s Fantasy-Turned-Nightmare Suite Week, he initially told his Top 3 that sex was off the table, then got physically intimate with one of the contestants and had to come clean to his final woman: Kaity. “It just hit me like a ton of bricks. I broke down and started shaking. I was like, ‘I don’t know how we recover from this,’” Kaity explained. “I knew there was a potential that could have happened, but I didn’t want to hear it. I wanted to focus on him, and I didn’t care what he was doing with other women.” Litia agreed wholeheartedly, and was so relieved Kaity encouraged her to vocalize the need for those boundaries.
Much to Litia’s dismay, she and Grant kicked off their date by going zip lining, which made her stomach churn. Once the two settled down to talk, she felt more at ease and got down to business, assuring Grant that she’d happily move from Utah if they got engaged. She opened up about her fears related to the two remaining women and shared her desired timeline for starting a family. When Grant offered Litia the Fantasy Suite key later that night, she explained why sex wasn’t on the table for them. Rather than Grant seeing the lack of physical intimacy as a deal-breaker, he praised Litia’s values, priorities, and maturity. He even told Litia HE LOVED HER and she said it back!!!!
“I think our relationship has blossomed to the next level. It’s more than just a physical connection. Litia is a once in a lifetime woman,” Grant said. “We really opened up. It feels like we’re supposed to be together.” The two woke up feeling closer than ever, but Grant started to wonder if he should have dropped the L-word so soon — especially with two other women he felt so strongly about still in the picture. “I never thought it would be possible to be in love with multiple women,” he admitted ahead of the rose ceremony, foreshadowing his difficult finale decision.
The Bachelor Season 29, Episode 7 Rose Ceremony Recap: Who Goes Home After Fantasy Suites?
Despite the confusion, Grant said he felt like his wife was at the rose ceremony. So who went home? And who will meet Grant’s family in next week’s finale?
Grant gave his first Fantasy Suite Week stem to Litia and his second rose to Juliana. He walked Zoe to her car and assured her the decision was “very hard” for him. Ultimately, he didn’t feel the two were in a place to get married. (Probably because she didn’t get that one-on-one date time!) Zoe left with her head held high, confident that she was deserving of romance. And before the episode wrapped, we got a look at what awaits in Grant’s highly-anticipated finale.
Shortly after Grant met his parents, who divorced when he was in college, and reunited with his sister Taylor, he shared his major dilemma: “I come across as cool and calm, but really, I’m freaking out. I’m about to make the biggest decision in my life. I’m torn between two amazing women, and I don’t know who my future wife is going to be yet. I’ve never been this indecisive in my life. One minute I’m here, the next minute I’m there. I’m not like that. So stay tuned for my demise next week.”
