A new study has revealed that Casino de Monte Carlo is the top destination for casino lovers in Europe.
The study, conducted by local newspaper Hudson Reporter, analysed a list of 77 European casinos rated at least 5-stars on Tripadvisor. Each casino was measured against nine factors, such as Tripadvisor and Google ratings, total reviews, and the number of hashtags across different platforms, and then placed into an index to be scored out of 100, revealing the ten must-visit casinos.
Casino de Monte Carlo in Monte Carlo, Monaco,takes the top spot, with an index score of 87.33 out of 100. The casino has an iconic legacy, opening in 1863, and is an architectural masterpiece designed by the renowned Charles Garnier, who designed the Paris Opera House. Over 75% of the casino’s Google reviews are rated at least 5-stars, averaging a 4.6-star rating. The casino also has an average monthly search volume of 20,549 – the highest search volume in the ranking.
Austria’s Casino Salzburg places second, scoring 75.08. Located in Salzburg in a stunning 18th-century palace, the casino offers a unique blend of history and modern gaming. The casino has garnered a 4.5-star Google rating and a 4.5-star rating on Tripadvisor. Moreover, 92% of the casino’s Tripadvisor reviews are rated 5-stars.
The UK takes the third spot with its Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square. The Hippodrome Casino has an index score of 69.65, and over 11,602 Instagram posts with hashtags relating to it. Furthermore, over 62% of its 4,731 Google reviews are rated 5-stars, giving the casino an average rating of 4.2 stars. Excluding its diverse gaming options and private gaming rooms, the casino offers live entertainment, including Cabaret and the West End’s Magic Mike Live.
Casino Baden-Baden in Baden-Baden, Germany, follows in fourth place with an index score of 69.55 out of 100. The casino offers traditional gaming tables and exclusive gaming experiences for those looking for VIP treatment. It has a 4.5-star Google rating and a 4.2-star Tripadvisor rating and is also located in a cultural hub near thermal baths, opera houses, and restaurants, making it a destination that offers more than just gaming.
Casino Estoril ranks fifth, with an index rating of 65.49. The casino, located in Estoril, Portugal, is known for being the inspiration for the James Bond novel Casino Royale. The casino has a variety of gaming options and boasts several restaurants and bars, offering a diverse culinary experience. The casino has garnered over 28,959 Instagram posts containing relevant hashtags, and over 58% of its 13,131 Google reviews are rated 5-stars.
