ECAM Forum and Conecta Fiction & Entertainment have announced a groundbreaking collaboration to jointly host a delegation of international industry professionals during their upcoming events this June in Spain. The initiative aims to foster emerging talent and strengthen ties within the global audiovisual sector.

Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, one of Europe’s leading international television and entertainment co-production markets, will hold its ninth edition over June 16-19 in Cuenca, Castilla-La Mancha. This year’s focus will be on France and Canada, two major players in global content creation. In collaboration with the Institut Français d’Espagne and under the banner of “Francia está en Pantalla” (France on Screen), Conecta continues its commitment to cross-border creative exchange.

Meanwhile, ECAM Forum, the international co-production market spearheaded by Madrid’s prestigious film school ECAM, will host its second edition from June 10 to 13 at the Matadero in Madrid. With a focus on amplifying emerging voices in audiovisual storytelling, ECAM Forum will reinforce its series section through this new partnership with Conecta.

Together, both events will welcome a shared delegation of French executives from networks, distributors, and production companies, all with a strong international profile. The collaboration is supported by the Institut Français d’Espagne, underscoring its mission to promote cultural exchange between France and Spain.

Alba Wystraëte, manager of ECAM, emphasized the importance of the new collaboration, explaining, “Promoting these types of collaborations and synergies is one of our founding goals. It’s a natural fit for ECAM to join forces with partners such as Conecta and the French Institute of Spain to promote the internationalization of projects and strengthen the international potential of both events.”

Conecta Fiction & Entertainment director Géraldine Gonard added, “The collaboration between Conecta Fiction & Entertainment and ECAM Forum is especially significant and especially motivating, as it unites efforts to foster emerging talent that will define the future of content and the audiovisual industry.”
