iHeartPodcasts is expanding its Gen Z lineup with “The K-Factor With Beomhan,” a deep dive into the K-pop industry hosted by former trainee Beomhan. The podcast, which premieres April 16, promises unprecedented access and authentic insights into the global phenomenon.

The Brooklyn-born host brings a unique perspective after spending four years as a K-pop trainee in Korea. His journey included battles with homelessness and mental abuse before he made the controversial decision to document his experiences on social media, leading to his departure from his agency.

The series will feature exclusive interviews with industry insiders including Sebastian Garcia (aka Rufio Hooks), one of the songwriters behind the BTS hit “Butter”; James Kho, a top choreographer for premier K-pop acts; Andrew Han, a former TikTok star who abandoned internet fame to train as a K-pop idol; and Emily Lis, a dancer specializing in trainee video training.

Fan engagement will be a central component of the show, with opportunities for listeners to participate in studio sessions, events, Q&A segments and call-ins.

“I’m thrilled to be a voice that introduces K-pop and Korean culture to a new audience,” Beomhan said. “I can’t wait to showcase a different side of K-pop to our listeners. This is truly a dream come true and I’m excited to help bring K-pop to a new generation.”

“We’re excited to launch a new groundbreaking series that offers an in-depth look into the world of K-pop,” added Will Pearson, president of iHeartPodcasts. “By collaborating with emerging talent like Beomhan, we’re able to offer a fresh, authentic perspective as we continue to expand our Gen Z-focused podcast slate and deliver meaningful content for listeners.”

Since returning to the United States, Beomhan has amassed 2.7 million TikTok followers with his dance videos, live streams and music journey vlogs. His comeback story includes fan-funded projects, a retracted debut single that became a cult classic and a new partnership with multi-platinum music executive producer Damon Jones and co-executive Troy Marshall of Black Moon Records.

Beomhan’s upcoming EP, “Mind, Body and Soul,” will feature six new songs, preceded by the single “D.U.M.” (Dancing Until Moonlight) dropping April 26. A U.S. tour is planned for early fall.

“The K-Factor With Beomhan” joins iHeartMedia’s growing slate of Gen Z-focused podcasts including “Post Run High with Kate Mackz,” “Psychology of Your 20s,” “Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice,” “Therapy Gecko” and “MESS with Sydnee Washington & Marie Faustin.”

The podcast will be available on the iHeartRadio app and all major podcast platforms.
