The Newport Jazz Festival will feature Janelle Monáe, the Roots and Jacob Collier as its headliners for its 71st edition this August, with Raye, Jorja Smith, Esperanza Spalding, Willow, De La Soul and Thee Sacred Souls among the other artists joining the 2025 bill.
The event takes place Aug. 1-3 at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island. Specially priced three-day tickets go on sale today at 1 p.m. ET. All other tickets will go up for sale this Thursday at the same time.
Other artists representing the jazz world or coming in from other genres on the lineup include Dianne Reeves, the Yussef Dayes Experience, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Terence Blanchard, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Stanley Jordan, Ron Carter, LA LOM, Sofi Tukker, Rachael & Vilray and Cymande. Some of these acts will join artistic director Christian McBride in an all-star cast for what is described as “a rousing big-band set.”

The three-day passes going on sale today range from $265.74 for general admission to $1,488.35 for “Jazz Lounge” passes. The latter include access to a tented lounge on the North Lawn/Fort Stage with lounge seating, TV monitors for a live view of the Fort Stage performances, air-conditioned restroom facilities and panoramic views of Newport Harbor, Narragansett Bay and the Fort Stage.
Come Thursday, the additional tickets available will include single-day admissions for $111.24, plus one-day student tickets for $63.86.
