Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s first collaborative set, “I Said I Love You First,” has made its debut atop the albums chart at No. 2.

“I Said I Love You First” earned 120,000 album units in its first week as the largest week by units for both artists, according to Luminate. Album sales comprised 71,000 of the overall total as the record was available to purchase across seven vinyl variants, three CD versions and a deluxe box set containing branded merch and a CD.

The 14-song LP arrived on March 20 and is the pop singer’s seventh top 10 album on the Billboard 200, since Gomez led the chart with each of her three solo albums to date, going back to 2013’s “Stars Dance.” This is the highest-charting effort as a credited artist for record producer and songwriter Blanco.

Though they’ve written and produced several singles for Gomez’s projects in the past, including “Same Old Love” and “Kill Em With Kindness” for her 2015 album “Revival,” “I Said I Love You First” is the first joint project from the pair of hitmakers. They announced their engagement in December.

Despite its range and availability in variants, “I Said I Love You First” lost to “Playboi Carti‘s “Music” in the race for No. 1 this week. Carti’s LP profited from the sales and streaming activity of a deluxe edition of the album. In its second week, the record tallied 131,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending March 27, with streams totaling to 124,000.

The deluxe edition, titled “Music – Sorry 4 Da Wait,” included four additional songs, upping the original 30-song tracklist to 34. The four bonus songs on the deluxe (“Different Day,” “2024,” “Backr00ms” and “FOMDJ”) were originally exclusively available on three different artist webstore-exclusive download variants of the album in its first week.

The remainder of the chart is led by Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX” at No. 3; PartyNextDoor and Drake’s “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” at No. 4; SZA’s “SOS” at No. 5; Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” is at No. 6; Lady Gaga’s “Mayhem” at No. 7; Bad Bunny’s “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” is at No. 8; Tate McRae’s “So Close To What” is at No. 9; and Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” rounds out the summit at No. 10.
