Skrillex has surprise-released his new album “Fuck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol But Ur Not!!

The album itself is a sprawling 34-track opus, featuring guest appearances from 100 Gecs’ Dylan Brady, Starrah, Wuki, Boys Noize and more.

News of the record was percolating in the Skrillex fandom over the past week, as the musician previewed songs from the album during his Ultra Music Festival performance on Saturday, his first mainstage performance after a decade. Yesterday, he sent a full mix of the album to his e-mail subscriber list under the title “FUS – FULL Album,” and the metadata for the file said that the album would arrive tomorrow. Meanwhile, in Miami, he held a last-minute listening event at Ice Palace Studios after posting an RSVP link on X.

Skrillex last released a pair of albums in 2023 — “Quest for Fire” and “Don’t Get Too Close” — in quick succession. The following year, he won the Grammy for best dance/electronic recording with “Rumble,” his collaboration with Flowdan and Fred Again.

With “Fuck U Skrillex” serving as his last album on Atlantic, the artist appears to be making good on previous statements on X that he planned to go independent in 2025. “I’ve never felt more inspired and in lockstep with my intentions as an artist. As im nearing completion of my next work and my final project for Atlantic records I can’t help but feel very existential about it all,” he wrote in Nov. 2024. “Im thrilled to get this out and focus on more release in 25 as an ‘independent’ artist. But ‘independent’  is such a strange term because I still depend on my team as well as all the other creatives and executors to do what I do.”
