Ex-footballer 4/7 to depart this weekend; Chris McCausland 4/5 to win show
Paul Merson is odds-on to be the next contestant eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing, according to William Hill.
Merson is 4/7 at the top of the market with Nick Knowles next in the betting at 15/8, who missed out on last week’s show due to injury.
In the outright winner market, Chris McCausland is now odds-on at 4/5 to lift the Glitterball Trophy, with Tasha Ghouri next in line at 4/1.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Paul Merson’s exit from Strictly Come Dancing looks to be edging closer and the former Arsenal man leads the elimination market at 4/7 to leave the show this weekend.
“Nick Knowles is next in the betting at 15/8 after missing last week’s show due to injury, though it remains uncertain whether Knowles will return to the ballroom, potentially keeping him safe from elimination once again.
“Our punters meanwhile seem to love Chris McCausland, and the comedian is now odds-on with us to win the show.”
