Cash-strapped house hunters can bag a home for the cost of two pizzas, but there is a twist… they have to build it.
A plot of land between two semi-detached homes in Sunderland is up for sale for just £50 – just slightly more than two family pizzas in Dominos.
The patch of land, which did have a house built on it, but it was demolished after a fire, will be sold off by Auction House tomorrow (Jan 29). Though the plot is being advertised at a recommended price of £50, there will be £2,400 worth of fees that will be payable upon completion of the sale.
The advert for the plot on Rightmove says: “Parcel of land formerly 184 Hasting Street for development subject to planning permission. 184 Hastings Street was demolished following a fire and the cleared and level site makes an ideal self-build opportunity, subject to planning permission.”
The average house on Hastings Street costs £55,917 in the past 12 months.
