A floating chapel has been transformed into a luxury home with a £1 million refurb and is now up for sale.
The chapel, one of only two in the world, is on the market for £552,500, complete with its 30-foot steeple and seven huge stained-glass windows.
The chapel is currently moored on the waters of the sought after area of Palmetto in Florida, but it can be moved anywhere as it has two diesel engines fitted to it.
The chapel is 33 tonnes and made of fibreglass to allow it to float. It is stabilised by electric winches and steel beams, and the stained glass window are all made with hurricane proof glass, so this luxury property is completely storm-proof.
The unique two-bedroom home has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, including marble work surfaces and a floating island.
Outside the 167 sqm property, there is a covered terrace with chairs and tables to enjoy the beautiful harbour and the sunshine.
The chapel has been fitted with all the mod cons, including air conditioning, satellite TV and a 65” flat-screen TV.
