A new data study reveals the most snow-sure ski resorts in 2025.
Swiss vignette, Vignetteswitzerland.com, have collected a list of 768 ski locations in Europe from Skiresort.info.
The experts compiled an index study by ranking each ski resort against eight determining factors to receive a score out of 10.
Using data from Skiresort.info and Open-Meteo, the eight indicating factors were used including: average elevation (m), average base depth at base (cm), average snow depth at peak (cm), average season temp (Celsius), average daily season snowfall (cm), average season days above zero, available snow cannons, and percentage of slopes covered by snow cannons (%).
These factors were then used to rank the locations, with the most snow-sure location at the top of the list, descending.

Scoring 74.49 out of 100, this Schladming resort is based in Austria and has an average snow depth at peak of 118 cm. The average temperature here is –6.78 and there is an average daily season snowfall of 3.43 cm.
The resort has 100% of its slopes covered by snow cannons, and 4.4 average season days above zero.
Skiworld Ahrntal – Klausber, is the second most snow-sure resort, scoring 73.09 out of 100.
Located in Italy, the resort’s average snow depth at peak is 160.12cm and the average temperature here is –10.46, with an average daily season snowfall of 3.66 cm.
The resort has 100% of its slopes covered by snow cannons, and one average season day above zero.
Les 3 Vallées, ranks third most ski-sure, scoring 70.88 out of 100.
This resort located in France has an average snow depth at peak of 208.78 cm. The average temperature here is –10.13 and the average daily season snowfall is 2.7 cm.
Ranking fourth place is Reinswald Ski Resort (San Martino in Sarentino), scoring 70.62 out of 100. Located in Italy, the resort has 100% of its slopes covered by snow cannons, and no average days are above zero.
The resort’s average snow depth at peak is 101.99cm and the average temperature is –14.61, with an average daily season snowfall of 2.91 cm.
Placing fifth is Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise Ski Resort in France, scoring 69.66 out of 100.
This French resort has an average snow depth at peak of 193.92 cm. The average temperature here is –8.2 and there is an average daily season snowfall of 4.11 cm.
Ranking sixth through to tenth are, Pontedilegno-Tonale Ski Area, Tauplitzalm – Bad Mitterndorf Ski Resort, Madonna di Campiglio/ Pinzolo/ Folgàrida/ Marilleva, Katschberg Ski Resort, and Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl- Kleinarl.
