MilanoDesignXmas: A Celebration of Creativity and Festive Spirit

MilanoDesignXmas, an initiative by TOWANT, transformed Milan’s prestigious locations into festive showcases, blending design and holiday cheer. The event highlighted 14 spots featuring renowned brands, each hosting unique Christmas trees crafted by over 40 architecture studios. This collaboration between design and festivity created an immersive experience, merging contemporary art and architecture with the magic of Christmas, offering a fresh perspective on holiday traditions through innovative installations and decorations.

At the heart of MilanoDesignXmas lay a celebration of creativity and togetherness. Each location served as a canvas where architects and designers reimagined Christmas, infusing their visions into original installations. The result was a journey through diverse, modern interpretations of the season, where aesthetics and functionality harmonized. This initiative not only showcased design’s role in holidays but also fostered collaboration among studios, enriching the festive atmosphere with diverse perspectives and materials.

Studio Chiara Caberlon emerged as the winner, capturing the essence of Christmas with their tree design. Chiara and her daughter Matilde aimed to evoke warmth and togetherness, involving family and artisans in the creative process. Their tree, crafted with dedication and dialogue, symbolized cherished moments, reflecting Tribù’s connection to nature and warmth. This project encapsulated their brand values and the true spirit of collaboration, making their victory a testament to shared effort and passion.

Tribù showroom, a key participant, hosted three studios, each incorporating the brand’s elements into their designs. The partnership with Chiara Caberlon exemplified how showrooms bring design to life, aligning brand values with festive spirit. Their tree, a blend of nature, elegance, and authenticity, resonated deeply, showcasing the importance of such spaces in fostering creativity and collaboration during holidays.

Engagement from both the public and professionals highlighted MilanoDesignXmas’s success, creating a bridge between design and tradition. Attendees experienced an inspiring atmosphere, discovering innovative designs and participatory projects that redefined holiday celebrations. The event’s interactive elements, like voting for favorite trees, added a layer of community engagement, enhancing its appeal and fostering a sense of shared joy.

Looking ahead, MilanoDesignXmas aims to expand, involving more locations and stakeholders. The initiative’s success underscores its potential to make Christmas a time for discovery and innovation, further intertwining design with festive traditions. With ambitious future plans, MilanoDesignXmas continues to inspire, promising even more extraordinary editions that celebrate creativity, collaboration, and the magic of the season.
