A British woman has transformed an ambulance into a bright pink mobile beauty parlour.
Beauty therapist Kirsty Martin created the ‘Glambulance’ so she has a space to practice her treatments.
The 36-year-old who bought the old ambulance online for £2,300, and then spent more than £10,000 painting it pink, adding graphics and converting the interior into a stunning salon.
Kirsty’s brow and lash parlour on wheels has become a social media sensation with more than 700,000 views on TikTok.
Kirsty, from Faversham in Kent, told AbsolutelyBusiness.com that she was necessarily looking for an ambulance, but when she came across it online she knew it was what she wanted.
She said: “When I was looking for my own place to work, I knew I wanted a vehicle so I could travel, but that was also big enough for me to stand up in.”
Kirsty and her family did a lot of the remodel work, stripping back the original interior before getting a plumber to do the water and a carpenter to create the seating.
She added: “I was slightly worried about if people were going to like it, as it’s so different. But customers absolutely love it. The dream is to have a whole fleet of them.”
Kirsty, who has more than 10 years’ experience in the beauty industry, is offering lash and brow treatments and airbrush make-up to her customers. She is also using the Glambulance to host special parties for hair braiding, body art and face painting.
The Glambulance has already become a big hit as Kirsty already has bookings for pamper parties, weddings, a hen do and even some music festivals.
