The iconic yellow Only Fools and Horses Robin Reliant van has been uncovered in a barn in Worcestershire.
The replica prop from the 1980s BBC sitcom is a perfect match to the original Reliant Regal Supervan with its ‘DEL BOY’ number plate and ‘Trotters Independent Traders’ emblazoned on the side.
The owner is selling the car, which is in a bad state of disrepair after being abandoned in the barn for years, for £6,950.
The ‘doer upper’, which is just like the one that was driven around by Only Fools star Del Boy Trotter, played by David Jason throughout the 80s and 90s, has the original mirrors, badges, lights, lenses and engine. But there is mould inside, the steering wheel and gearstick are rusty and the famous yellow paint is peeling off.
The owner, from Stourport-on-Severn in Worcestershire, suggests the three wheeler should go to a budding mechanic due to the amount of work that is needed to bring it back to its former glory.
The description reads: “Del Boy Trotters Independent Traders Only Fools and Horses prop/replica van. Recently purchased barn find. This van has been off the road and sat in storage for many years. These vehicles and parts are getting really hard to find for restorations. This is a great opportunity to purchase for a restoration as it has all of its original parts that are hard to find.”
