A rare F1 inspired supercar is for sale for a cool $2 million.
The blue McLaren Speedtail, one of just 106 in the world, has just 56 miles on the clock from one owner.
The lightweight supercar, which was manufactured three years ago, can hit speeds of 250mph. It is car number 69 of the 106 that came of the exclusive production line.
The stylish sports car will be sold at auction by RM Sotheby’s on January 25 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Three people can fit in the futuristic F1 inspired car with the driver in the middle.
Car enthusiasts will want to know that this rare motor, which has been described as being in impeccable condition and “as new”, has a 1,034bhp, 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The exclusive car’s electric motor and battery were created by McLaren’s Formula E technology group and provide 312 horsepower, giving the total of 1,035 horsepower.
A RM Sotheby’s spokesperson said: “In 2020, McLaren dramatically rekindled the spirit of its seminal F1 supercar with the launch of the futuristic Speedtail. An exclusive machine at the leading edge of 21st-century hypercar performance that, like its predecessor, was limited to only 106 units.
The spokesman explained that the incredible machine, like a Formula One car, had a lightweight carbon-fibre tub as well as vertical dihedral doors. He said it was an evolution of the McLaren P1’s engine, with an upgraded piston design and cylinder-head cooling.
RM Sotheby’s have reported the guide price is between £1,566,680 ($2million) and £1,958,350 ($2.5million).
