An under-11s soccer match was ended in chaos after a wild all-out brawl broke out among parents mid-way through the game. The junior soccer match in Melbourne’s northeast resulted in a huge bust-up when a fight broke out between two players during the match between Manningham United and Rowville Eagles in Templestowe over the weekend. Mid-way through the game, the referee was forced to rush in and break up a fight between two 10-year-olds who clashed following a missed goal.However, parents of the two teams were unable to resist joining in on the disagreement as a brawl erupted in the stands. The parents then rushed onto the pitch to try and pull the two players apart. One dad was grabbed around the neck and tackled to the ground by another man. At least 12 other parents were seen pushing each other out of the way in footage captured by a witness of the huge brawl at Petty’s Reserve. A Rowville Eagles committee spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia said the club was ‘deeply disappointed by the behavior displayed by individuals within the football community at a recent event’. ‘Both Clubs involved are working closely together to investigate the incident,’ the statement said. ‘Our Club is committed to taking any necessary steps to ensure such unacceptable scenes are not repeated. We remain dedicated to upholding the values of sportsmanship, community, and safety across all levels of our club.Manningham United Football Club president Nick Raptopoulos said the club was working with Rowville Eagles and Football Victoria to investigate the incident. ‘Manningham United is aware of a serious incident that took place during a recent pre-season event at the Club,’ he told the Herald Sun.
