Anthony Edwards agreed to give Ayesha Howard full custody of their 5-month-old daughter, Aubri’, amid their contentious paternity battle.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star told a Georgia court that he consented to the mom of two receiving temporary sole physical and legal custody of the infant, according to documents obtained by Us Weekly on Monday.
Howard stated that she has been the sole caregiver of Aubri’ since giving birth to the baby in October 2024.
Edwards is now asking the court to “establish [his] child support obligations.”
Page Six has reached out to lawyers for both the NBA player and Howard but did not immediately hear back.
Last October, we broke the news that Edwards, 23, had filed a petition for paternity and child support in his home state of Georgia the month prior.
Howard, 38, subsequently took to Instagram to reveal she had quietly welcomed a baby girl on Oct. 14.
In February, Page Six reported that Howard asked for their paternity and child support case to be heard in California after the “Starting 5” star filed in Georgia.
Howard claimed in court docs that she and Edwards “spent time together in various cities while he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and during his off-season,” before discovering in January 2024 that she was “pregnant with his child.”
She also alleged the shooting guard was not pleased when she revealed the news to him and then blocked her from further communicating with him.
“Upon informing Anthony of the pregnancy, he blocked me on all communication platforms and made it clear, through text messages, that he did not want to be involved in the life of our child. His exact words were that our daughter would be a ‘fatherless child,’” she claimed in the documents.
“From that point on, Anthony never reached out to me to inquire about my well-being, the well-being of our child or any of the needs I had during my pregnancy. I did not receive any support — emotional, financial or otherwise — throughout the entire duration of my pregnancy.”
Howard also included screenshots of alleged texts between her and Edwards, in which he urged her to “get da abortion.”
She is also a mom to son Jason, 9, whom she shares with rapper Lil Baby.
Meanwhile, the Olympic gold medalist has been dating Shannon Jackson since 2020. The pair share daughter Aislynn, who was born in March 2024.
Edwards is allegedly also the father of two other kids: daughter Aris, 1, with Daja Carlyle and son Amir, 1, with Alexandria Desroches.
He has yet to publicly acknowledge his children outside of his romance with Jackson.
