At the time, the Jaguars had two roster spots still open after the UDFA additions. Now they have one after signing Emmanuel Ogbah. “Really looking forward to what comes next,” said Gladstone of the draft class.- “We were jacked to be in that position to prioritize him,” said Gladstone about Bhayshul Tuten. After he ran a 4.32 40, Gladstone didn’t know if he’d be there on Day 3.- “Short answer to that, the board always falls in certain ways, and you’re not going to reach,” said Gladstone about not adding to the defensive line.- “I think we’ve definitely addressed the ability to strike from a distance,” said Liam Coen about the additions to the offense during free agency and the draft.- “That added exposure from the All-Star circuit is certainly something we leveraged,” said Gladstone when asked about the draft prospects who participated in the Senior Bowl. Gladstone mentioned Jack Kiser be willing to not only participate but also play safety because that was needed. “These are guys that love the game of football.”- “Reps are important,” said Gladstone about bringing in college prospects with experience.- Gladstone says Jalen McLeod’s versatility is something that really stood out. He adds that his competitiveness and urgency were “phenomenal.” Gladstone says when you see a player go from a small school to a big school and they continue to produce that is meaningful.- “Absolutely,” said Coen when asked if they were able to add those intangibly rich prospects. “Tough resonates with all these guys.” Gladstone says the way people talk about these players is “inspiring.”- “I think that whole group is about to take a jump,” Gladstone said of the defensive tackle position. He mentions seeing guys in different positions than where they’ve been in the past.- Coen mentions Bhayshul Tuten’s ability to “strike from a distance,” and mentions his ability to force missed tackles. LeQuint Allen brings versatility as a pass catcher and can line up out of the backfield.- Gladstone says they will always look to “pour more resources” into the offensive line because of the importance of having depth at that unit.- “Bringing in competition is just a healthy thing for any football team,” said Gladstone of the team’s additions. “Look forward to finally getting the pads on.”- “He was unbelievable,” Coen said of working with Gladstone during the draft.- Coen says Wyatt Milum can play multiple spots at a high level and finishes each play and approaches the game the right way. Caleb Ransaw is someone the Jaguars have been excited about for the last few weeks. “He’s dynamic. He can run. One of the better tacklers in this draft.”
