Somewhere around 15 players are expected to be selected during the three days of the annual spectacle that’s set to take place in Green Bay this year, and we’ll be around to tell you all about it.We all know about the green room that has some of the top players on site to walk across the stage when they are selected, and Ohio State has had plenty of players in the area over the last few years. This year might be a little different, though, because even though there will be plenty of Buckeyes selected, there aren’t too many expected to be picked up in the very top of the draft, where you would expect players to be in the building for. However, there is one Ohio State player that is reported to be included in that group, and it’s likely first-round pick, offensive tackle Josh Simmons. He’ll join 17 players who have been invited to sit in the green room and await their chance to walk up to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for a big hug.Simmons came to Ohio State from San Diego State through the transfer portal with little fanfare in the 2022 offseason. He started all 13 games at left tackle for the Buckeyes in 2023 and turned into one of the most athletic and productive tackles in the country before going down with injury last season. Now, he’ll get to live out a lifelong dream of the bruhaha surrounding the draft in a couple of weeks. Here is the rest of the players who have been invited to in and around the green room for the 2025 NFL draft.1.Tyler BookerGAlabama2.Jihaad CampbellLBAlabama3.Will CampbellTLSU4.Abdul CarterDEPenn State5.Jaxson DartQBMississippi6.Matthew GoldenWRTexas7.Mason GrahamDTMichigan8.Travis HunterDB/WRColorado9.Ashton JeantyRBBoise State10.Will JohnsonDBMichigan11.Tetairoa McMillanWRArizona12.Jalen MilroeQBAlabama13.Josh SimmonsTOhio State14.Malaki StarksSGeorgia15.Shemar StewartDETexas A&M16.Cam WardQBMiami (Fla.)17.Mykel WilliamsDEGeorgiaWe’ll have more in our ramp-up of the coverage for the NFL draft over the next week and a half or so.
