There remains plenty of uncertainty surrounding the pick because of the offseason moves the Steelers have made and those they haven’t. Here is our ranking of the seven biggest needs for the Steelers in the upcoming draft.1 – QuarterbackEven though we eventually expect the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers to find each other, this has vaulted to the top of our list.2 – Defensive tackleThe Steelers signed a pair of players but neither is the type of impact player Pittsburgh needs. If the Steelers pass on a quarterback in the first round, we expect them to go for a big, run-stuffing defensive tackle.3 – Running backWhile we are confident in Jaylen Warren’s ability to be effective in this offense, we don’t believe he can carry the run game by himself. The 2025 running back class is very talented and there will be plenty of options.4 – CornerbackWe love the addition of Darius Slay as a short-term answer but Pittsburgh needs to draft a player who could potentially be a long-term starter opposite Joey Porter Jr.5 – Offensive guardIsaac Seumalo is still a potential salary-cap casualty and Mason McCormick is still a very young, inexperienced player. Depth is needed here.6 – Offensive tackleAfter Dan Moore Jr. signed with the Tennessee Titans in free agency, this position became incredibly thin and depth is a must here.7 – Wide receiverWe love the trade for DK Metcalf but it could mean the end for George Pickens.
