YouTube has set the date for its 2025 Brandcast event — during the TV industry’s upfront week in New York City — and it’s bringing pop star Lady Gaga and top creators like MrBeast and Brittany Broski out for the show.

The YouTube invitation-only upfront presentation will be held Wednesday, May 14, starting at 5:30 p.m. ET at Lincoln Center in New York City. The video giant is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, as it has grown from a viral-video upstart to a major media player competing for ad spending against the biggest traditional TV networks. Indeed, YouTube is the biggest thing on TV these days: This week, Nielsen announced YouTube was the No. 1 media distributor for the month of February 2025, ahead of Disney and other media companies, ranked by aggregate U.S. viewing on TVs.

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan and execs including YouTube chief business officer Mary Ellen Coe and Sean Downey, Google president of Americas and global partners, will take the stage at the event to make the case to Madison Avenue buyers to spend their ad dollars on YouTube — alongside a lineup of YouTube creators and talent.

Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform at Brandcast, “celebrating her iconic presence on YouTube over the past 20 years,” according to the video platform. “From her billion-view music videos, to viral fan moments — Gaga’s ‘little monsters’ come to life on YouTube, where fandom goes beyond views to become a place for conversations and community,” YouTube said in announcing the 2025 Brandcast plans. The singer recently released “Mayhem,” her seventh studio album and just announced new tour dates for her Mayhem Ball tour.

Top YouTube creators set to appear include MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson), who runs the most-followed channel on the platform with more than 378 million subscribers. His recent video “Beat Ronaldo, Win $1,000,000,” with superstar athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady and Bryson DeChambeau, has already racked up more than 240 million views.

Brittany Broski, who has 3 million-plus subscribers across channels, will be the creator host of this year’s show. Last week, she launched Brittany Broski Music with a cover of Harry Style’s “Adore You” that hit the top of YouTube’s Trending charts shortly after release. Her content includes celebrity interview show “Brittany Broski’s Royal Court” and podcast “Broski Report.”

YouTube has held the top share of streaming watch time by Americans on TVs for more than two years, according to Nielsen, and TV recently surpassed mobile as the primary device for YouTube viewing in the U.S. by watch time.
